LEADS, LEADS, LEADS — We All Want Them. So Why Are We Still Making This Simple Mistake

We spend hundreds of hours planning our marketing and thousands of dollars getting our brand out there. We obsess over our logo, our messaging, our ad spend, our Instagram aesthetic — and rightly so.

But what if it’s all falling over because of one simple, frustrating oversight?

You’re hard to reach.

And no — I don’t mean your office location. I mean your actual contact details.

It’s way too difficult to get in touch with the person I actually want to talk to at a real estate office.

Honestly, I’ve had an easier time finding the contact details of an agent who retired 20 years ago than tracking down someone who’s actively listing and selling today. No mobile number. No direct email. Just a generic form that goes… who knows where?

Real example? Here’s one.

Just last week, I had a great story come across my desk — a chance to profile a local agency doing good things. I thought I’d reach out for a quick quote to include them.

Ten minutes later, after checking their website, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and even Google… still nothing. No number. No email.

I submitted the contact form, but let’s be honest — they ran a very real risk of missing out entirely. And in the end? Another agency — one that was easy to reach and willing to jump on the phone — likely ended up with the coverage.

I get it. We all want leads. We want to capture them, track them, and nurture them through our marketing funnels. But what good is a lead that never comes through because the contact process was too hard?

Now, before you say “someone will respond eventually”…

Let me stop you right there.

This isn’t a big ask. It’s a five-minute call. That’s all. A quick conversation to introduce the story, grab a quote, and highlight what you’re doing well — something most agencies would love the chance to be part of.

But in 2025, none of us have time for endless emails or waiting three days to hear back. And neither do your future vendors, buyers, or recruits.

So here’s the question: what message is your website sending?

If a journalist can’t get hold of you… what about:

  • A buyer who wants to inspect a property right now?

  • A seller thinking of booking a market appraisal?

  • A standout agent considering joining your team?

  • A local business looking to collaborate?

If they can’t find you, they won’t try harder. They’ll move on.And if your competitor’s contact info is clearer and easier? That’s who they’ll call.

What we do differently — and what’s working:

At Bespoke Media, we’ve made accessibility and responsiveness a cornerstone of how we operate.

For those interested in joining Bespoke Media: We don’t make you jump through hoops to get the information you need. You’ll find:

  • A direct phone number to reach our corporate team

  • A Book a Call feature so you can lock in a time that works for you

  • Clear email contact details — no faceless forms

  • Downloadable material so you can explore what we offer in your own time

Because trust, collaboration, and connection don’t start with a form — they start with a real conversation. And that’s exactly what we’re here for.

The bottom line?

If you’re spending big on branding but no one can easily speak to you, you’re leaking leads before they even have the chance to convert.

Make it easy.Be reachable.Be real.

Because at the end of the day, the most successful agents and offices aren’t just the best marketers —they’re the ones who actually get the call.
